1973 Apple Novelty Print Navy Silk Flutter Skirt

This Valentino Boutique high-waisted skirt was made in 1973, when apples were a featured motif in Valentino's S/S ad campaign (see the last photo.) It's demi-couture quality, sewn by hand in Italy from navy blue tissue silk. It has an apple print with white stripes and polka dots, and a ruffle hem. It fastens at the back with a hand-set metal zipper and two hook-and-eyes at the waistband. It's in excellent condition, clean and ready to wear.
