This 1978-79 F/W Giorgio Armani long sleeve midi dress was made in Italy of olive green silk with a gold metallic swirl pattern throughout. The same design was featured in that season's ad campaign and the fabric was used in a jewelry ad (both photos scanned from the September 1978 issue of Vogue Italia). The top is shirred, with thin shoulder pads. The skirt is lined. The dress fastens with seven snaps in the front and a snap at each cuff. It appears that panels were added to the sides to make to the dress larger. The gold metallic is rubbing off in the armpits and there is some minor wear around the neckline, but the dress is otherwise in very good condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
