1991-92 F/W Chartreuse Wool Bouclé Double-Breasted Skirt Suit
$2,450.00
This 1991-92 F/W Chanel Boutique by Karl Lagerfeld skirt suit was made in France of chartreuse wool bouclé lined in "CC"-signed silk. The same style of jacket was featured on that season's runway, and the chartreuse color appeared multiple times throughout the collection.
The double-breasted jacket has black braided trim and two faux front flap pockets that button shut with gold and black lion head buttons. There are three matching buttons on each cuff. The buttons appear to have been resewn, and there’s a good chance they are not original to the jacket. They are high-quality buttons that could still be authentic Chanel, since lion head buttons are a signature motif of the brand as a nod to Coco Chanel being a Leo. The high-waisted pencil skirt lands above-the-knee. It fastens with a zipper up the back and a hook-and-eye at the back of the waist. There is some minor discoloration in the armpit's lining, which isn't visible during wear and the seams have been professionally let-out, which is only noticeable from the lining. It's otherwise in excellent condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
