1982 S/S Indigo Wool Knit Ruffle Collar Dress

This 1982 S/S Sonia Rykiel sweater dress was made in Italy of unlined indigo wool knit with a black and taupe stripe on the right cuff, and originally purchased at Bloomingdale's. Versions of the dress were featured on that season's runway, as well as lots of knits in the same shade of blue. This one has Juliet sleeves and a boat neckline with a ribbed ruffle collar that could also be worn off-shoulder. It slips over the wearer's head with no fasteners. Two small holes have been discreetly repaired (one hidden by the collar), but it's otherwise in very good condition, clean and ready to wear.
