1998 S/S Leaf Design Burnout Velvet Dress

This 1998 S/S Lolita Lempicka Premiere short-sleeve dress was made in France of light beige burnout velvet chiffon with a leaf design. The composition tag is missing but it feels like silk/rayon blend. The dress is sheer, with an unlabeled matching beige nylon slip included. It fastens in a cheongsam style with 15 fabric-covered buttons up the left side and neck, and a 21" slit up each side. Versions of the dress were featured on that season's runway. The slip has some minor imperfections, but the dress itself is in excellent condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
