1990-91 F/W Roman Centurion Black Bustier Evening Gown

This 1990-91 F/W Moschino Couture evening gown was made in Italy. It has a black cotton velvet bustier top with a sweetheart neckline, and a dramatic skirt comprised of two layers of tulle, a rayon lining and a built-in crinoline, giving it lots of volume. The Roman centurion-inspired embellishments around the waist are made from silk crepe, grosgrain bows, and gold-tone metal medallions. The tunic version was featured on that season's runway. The dress fastens with a zipper up the back.
The top is in excellent condition but there is wear to the skirt: there's a cigarette burn on the front of the skirt, the hemline is tattered, and there's a tear in the tulle near the hemline. These imperfections are mostly disguised by the dark color and it is still very wearable as is but we have drastically reduced the price due to these flaws. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
