This 1984 S/S Azzedine Alaïa skirt set was made in Italy. It consists of a high-waisted skirt, and a slouchy sweater. The skirt is held in the permanent collection of the Palais Galliera in Paris. The skirt is a cotton-lined taupe rayon gabardine that fastens in a wrap style by first attaching the belt to the waist and then snapping the front of the skirt into place on the belt. It has open cut-out sides at the hips and large interior pockets. The slouchy sweater is thin taupe knit that feels like a cotton blend. It has drop shoulders and an open back.

The sweater has a few minor snags but the skirt is in excellent condition. The sweater is missing its labels, but we've included documentation from that season. Both pieces have been professionally dry-cleaned and are ready to wear.
