1970's Striped Silk Dolman Sleeve Blouse
A pure silk striped blouse dating from the 1970’s, from highly influential French designer Ted Lapidus, who worked with stars such as Brigitte Bardot and Twiggy. This piece is designed with low armpits, creating voluminous dolman style sleeves ending in small black cuffs, with one small black button on each cuff. The small buttons are hidden up the front, with one showing on the collar. The sleeves are not separated from the body by a seam, so the wide stripes are vertical on the torso and horizontal/diagonal on the sleeves. The colours are black and blueish grey, with thin white stripes in between. One inch of black silk extends from the sleeve cuffs, up the sleeves and shoulders to the neck. The shoulders are slightly ruched, as well as the ends of the sleeves at the cuffs. Made with a very light and soft silk.
