Mila Schön
1970s Pink and Bamboo Print Silk Dress Ensemble
This bold late 1970's silk dress and jacket set is a fine example of the truly original designs by well renowned Milan - based couturière Mila Schon. The dress displays a hand drawn - looking black and white bamboo pattern, with a few inches of hot pink at the bottom, matching the full pink jacket. The dress is long sleeved, with a deep v neck that closes at the front with a wrap effect, with three small metal snaps hidden at the waist. The outer flap is layered with a piece of silk jetting out that patterned with the same print with black and white reversed, adding an offbeat touch to the design. The jacket is also long sleeved, a bit looser and gathered a little bit around the shoulders. The wide square pockets sit at the bottom of the jacket, at the thigh. The back is made with a slit on one side the extends all the way to the shoulder.
