1960's White Floral Eyelet Sheer Illusion Dress
A sheer illusion white crocheted eyelet dress, dating from the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. Travilla was the iconic costume designer behind most of Marilyn Monroe’s most famous bombshell looks in the 1950’s as well as lighting up many Hollywood movies of the time. This dress is fully lined, with the crocheted lace ends of the sleeves left without lining. Empire waisted with an open neck at the front. Back zipper enclosure.
Bust - 32"
Waist - 26"(underbust/high waist)
Hips - 32"
Shoulders - 13.5"
Arms - 9"(shoulder seam to cuff)
Length - 42"
This dress would be best suit for a size XXS or XS. It was very tight on my mannequin.
Made in the United States
Condition: There is one very light mark near the bottom front of the dress that dry cleaner was not able to remove(see the last picture). The dress still presents beautifully and the mark could easily go unnoticed. The zipper is a little sticky, although, fully functional(I believe from being washed).
This dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
