Callaghan

1970s Green Floral Cross-Back Maxi Dress by Gianni Versace

Sold Out

A highly wearable and chic pull over floral 1970’s maxi dress from high end Italian designer, Callaghan. This piece is likely from the period in the 1970’s when Gianni Versace was starting his career at Callaghan (he started there in 1972). Made from pure rayon jersey in a muted pastel green, printed with small multi-coloured peony-esque flowers, all in slightly varied sizes - it looks as though almost each one was drawn individually. With a low v neck at the front and the back, and ribbed bodice that starts at the bust in the front and extends diagonally down around the sides to a point on the back. The spaghetti straps cross at the back. With a bit of extra fabric sewn in at the bottom and the torso-hugging bodice, this piece is designed for an ultra flattering fit. This with the simple pull over design make this an ideal spring/summer dress.

Measurements:

Bust - 29" (stretch to 36")
Waist - 25" (stretch to 32")
Hips - 35" (stretch to 42")
Length - 60"

Material: 100% rayon

Condition: This dress has a couple of small issue. There is a light mark on the right side of the bust that can be seen in the fourth It can easily get lost in the pattern. There is also some slight wear on the right strap (visible in the last picture). This dress remains a stunning and wearable piece. The price has been greatly reduced due to the flaws.

This dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
