This 1994-95 F/W Valentino Boutique tunic and skirt set was made in Italy of black silk chiffon and originally purchased at Isaacson's in Atlanta. It was modelled by Nadja Auermann on that season's runway.
The body of the tunic is semi-sheer, comprised of two layers of silk chiffon with dramatic chantilly lace angel sleeves, a 13" slit up the front, and a 20" slit up the back. The tunic top fastens with ten fabric-covered buttons at the back. The high-waisted skirt is more opaque, with three layers of silk chiffon. It has a 6.5" slit up the right side for easier movement. It fastens with a zipper up the left side and two hook-and-eyes at the waistband. Both pieces are in excellent condition, clean and ready to wear.
