1987 S/S Gold Trim Black Rayon Crepe Jacket & Skirt Set

This 1987 S/S Sonia Rykiel jacket and skirt set was made in France of unlined black crepe that feels like an acetate/rayon blend with gold 60% nylon/40% metallic trim. The full outfit walked that season's runway and the skirt was featured in the ad campaign.

The cropped jacket has shoulder pads and two front pockets that are still sewn shut. It fastens with one hook-and-eye at the neck and three buttons on each cuff. The mermaid midi skirt has a ruffle hemline. It fastens at the left side with a zipper and two hook-and-eyes at the waistband. The set is in excellent condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
