1970s Paisley Orange Silk Chiffon Maxi Dress

This Malcolm Starr by Rizkallah maxi dress was made in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong and originally purchased at Holt Renfrew in the late-1960s/early-1970s. It's comprised of four layers of silk chiffon, the exterior a vibrant orange with a floral paisley design and the three interior layers pastel green, pink, and blue. The long sleeves have dramatic 13.5" slits up each side, and the hem has 14" slits up each side. It comes with its original 62" x 12.5" sash belt. It does up the back with a YKK zipper hidden by 11 snaps on the outside layer. There are a couple of discreet water marks on the left arm (see the last photo), but overall, it's in excellent condition, has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
