1986 S/S NWT Floral Harlequin Knit Crop Top & Pants Set

This 1986 S/S Kenzo crop top and pants set was made in Italy of a multicolor harlequin print 53% cotton/47% viscose knit with navy ribbed trim and peonies throughout. Variations of the set were featured on that season's runway show. It still has the original tags; it was first purchased at Woodward and Lothrop. The pants alone originally retailed for $200 USD (around $575 USD today.)
The short sleeve crop top slips over the wearer's head and has a 2.75" slit up each side. The high-waisted cropped leggings have an elastic waistband. Both pieces are in excellent unworn condition. There's a small speck on the back of the left leg that is possibly a manufacturer's error; please refer to the photos.
