1970s Abstract Black and White Jersey Caftan Dress

A black and white jersey caftan dating from the early 1970s, by the highly esteemed Spanish couturier, Manuel Pertegaz, who chose to remain in Spain after being invited to be head designer at Dior in 1957, directly following Christian Dior’s death. Floor length, with a snug scoop neck and slightly flared sleeves. Most of the body is enveloped with a massive white flower print, one on the front and one on the back, with the top half of the flower print extending up the sleeves and stopping a few inches beneath the shoulder. With a keyhole closure at the back done up with one small black button on the neck, beside some very subtle pleats. This piece is unlined; one elegant swath of finely printed jersey. Purchased at the prestigious estate of a former consulate.

Condition: Excellent. There are two very small light marks on the lower front that I wasn't able to completely remove. They are so light and inconspicuous that they are only visible under close inspection. Feel free to contact me for pictures if this is a concern for you. I would still consider this dress to be in excellent condition, they do not affect its wearability in any way.
