Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

1980s Hooded Blue Plaid Wool Fringe Blanket Coat

Sold Out

This bold 100% wool blanket coat from Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, a well-respected designer at the forefront of 1980s avant garde. Unlined, the wool is woven into a very large plaid pattern in highly pigmented blues and greens. It does up the front with two snaps in a wrap style. The hood is designed with three snaps along the edge, which can be left open to drape on the back or done up into a pointed hood, with blue leather straps coming from the inside of the hood to snap on the outside, slightly gathering the fabric of the hood. The piece features wide sleeves and lapels, two deep pockets, and comes with a large novelty safety pin that can be attached as desired. We will also include the original matching belt that was not photographed.
