This 1980s Jacqueline de Ribes canary yellow gown set is comprised of a top, skirt, and belt. The set was made in France. The top is an open weave silk that keeps its shape. It has dramatic ruffles in the back, an interior waist stay, and a metal Riri zipper up the back with a tie at the top. The top was designed to only be worn tucked into something, since the zipper falls below the hemline. It has shoulder pads, but the inside "stuffing" deteriorated and was removed.
The fully-lined high-waisted floor-length silk crepe skirt features a 17.5" slit up the back. It does up the back with a hidden metal Riri zipper and hook on the waistband. The adjustable belt is the same fabric as the top in the front, with a leather backing.
There are a few minor snags on the back of the skirt, and one on the front waistband (which would be hidden by the belt.) Please see the last photo for details. It's otherwise in excellent condition.
