1982 F/W Black Silk Taffeta Cocktail Dress

This Christian Dior true haute couture dress is from the 1982 F/W collection, and is numbered "17111.” Made in France of a black pure silk taffeta, it has spaghetti straps, a ribbed bodice and a metal zipper up the left side. The skirt is lined in silk organza, and comprised of two layers. The top layer has two “wings” draping in the front and adding volume. The inner layer was taken out by 1.5” on each side, which is not at all visible during wear. There is also some wear to the taffeta under the left arm hole (see photos for more details.) These imperfections have been factored into the price. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition.
