This late-1950s/early-1960s Anne Verdi evening dress was originally purchased at Best & Co. in New York. It's made of black silk twill with a rose print, a black silk organza lining, and a black silk chiffon back and panel at the neckline. It features pleating at the back of the skirt, and a very unusual collar for the era, resembling a long scarf worn over the shoulders. The dress fastens in the back with a metal zipper and hook-and-eye at the neck. It's in very good condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
