Teal Traina

1960s Rhinestone Starburst White Evening Dress

Sold Out

A high neck, long sleeved white 1960’s evening gown with rhinestone encrusted starbursts down the front. The bursts are slightly connected, faintly echoing some of the futurist influences of the time. Made with white heavy silk crepe, this piece is fully lined on the inside, with a back metal zipper enclosure. This piece comes from chic New York designer Teal Traina, who in his time worked with such designers as Geoffrey Beene and Malcolm Starr.

Measurements:

Bust - 35"
Waist - 35"
Hips - 37"
Shoulders - 13.5"
Arms - 20.25"
Length -49"

Condition: Very good condition. There are a few inconspicuous nicks in the fabric. The only one that is notable measures 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm on the back left shoulder. It is not a hole but merely an area where the fabric is slightly worn down. The zipper is a tad warped, see the third picture. The dress remains a crisp white and presents beautifully. It would be suitable for an important event.

This dress has been speciality cleaned and is ready to wear.

The second picture was taken by Tioto Photographie during out show at Festival Mode & Design 2017.  Modelled by Sasha Lew.
